Hornet's Nest BMX is located in
Charlotte, North Carolina at Hornet's Nest Park.
Founded in 1982 by Fred Melton,
Sr. and affiliated with the American
Bicycle Association (ABA),
Hornet's
Nest BMX is backed with 25 years of industry
experience and the current track operator, Mark Coates, has been in
charge since 2003. Mark brings a lot of enthusiasm
and energy to the track as evidenced by Hornet's Nest
BMX earning the right to host several key races in the
past couple of years including the 2003 Redline Cup
Finals East (151 motos) and the
2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 ABA North
Carolina State Championship Finals. Hornet's
Nest BMX also hosted a Redline
Cup Qualifier in 2005 and the TarHeel National in
2007
